Job Description: Psychology Course Instructor

Education

· Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree or Higher Preferred

· Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach.

Experience

· Three (3) years of full-time occupational experience

· Experience in the psychology field

Certification / Licensure

· Related certifications preferred (if applicable)

Teaching Experience

(Preferred)

Other

· Strong computer skills

· Ability to multi-task and manage projects

· Problem solving and critical thinking skills

· Customer service oriented

· Effective communication skills

Organizational Purpose

To empower change by creating opportunity.

· General

o Teach classes

o Participate in meetings as directed

o Participate in professional development and in-service activities

o Career and personal coaching to students

o Effective relationship building

o Working in coordination with the Career Management Department

o Maintain the highest level of ethical and professional standard, including keeping apprised of and abiding by all institutional policies and procedures, accreditation standards, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations as pertains to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
