Responsibilities*

The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN) invites applications from individuals with a distinguished record of accomplishment to fill the Mary Lou Willard French Endowed Professorship. The School of Nursing seeks a senior faculty member who will focus his/her research on nursing care for cancer patients and their families. The recipient of the endowed professorship will be an accomplished scientist/scholar with demonstrated competence in funded research, leadership in interdisciplinary investigative teams as well as oncology nursing, and mentoring of junior scientists. The applicant will work closely with the University of Michigan School of Nursing faculty, the Michigan Medicine Rogel Cancer Center and national/international cancer funding sources.

This position is anticipated to be filled during the 2025-2026 academic year. We are soliciting applications from leading scholars in oncology nursing research. All people, including those who belong to groups underrepresented in nursing, are encouraged to apply.
