We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:
Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Health Sciences) (N&HS) (Ref: 24001XO)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Undertaking course planning and development;
- Undertaking course coordination, assessments and classroom teaching in related disciplines/areas;
- Undertaking/engaging in scholarly activities/academic research and participating in School/University activities and administration; and
- Performing any duties assigned by the Dean.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- An earned Master degree in Life Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Biostatistics, Microbiology, Biomedical, Psychology or a related discipline;
- A strong commitment to teaching;
- At least 5 years’ of relevant teaching/professional experience, preferably in the areas of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, psychology and biostatistics;
- Track record in relevant research areas where appropriate;
- Excellent communication skills; and Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
