An excellent career opportunity awaits an exceptional candidate looking to advance their selling skills in the Digital Imaging category, serving as the Indirect Account Manager for the Southwest Territory. Provide strategic support to the Imaging Specialty channel, with a focus on developing an effective "go-to-market" strategy and growing Sony's brand presence in an omnichannel environment.Provide expert guidance to Sony management on business opportunities, supported with concise analysis and well-rounded evaluations/recommendations.Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to ensure the business runs smoothly and all deadlines are met. Formulate an unapparelled partnership with the Senior Sales Manager to be an internal account expert and lynchpin between cross-functional teams; collaborating with business management, business planning, finance, channel marketing, sales, and CPFR teams to achieve profit growth drivers. Develop industry knowledge that fosters trusted relationships both internally and externally coupled with the ability to find logical win-win outcomes through data-driven negotiations. Deliver strong ROI for financial investments that improve profitability and build brand strength within the assigned region.

Responsibilities:

As an Account Manager in the Imaging Specialty category, you will be responsible for leading the overall business strategy with key accounts, as well as, building and optimizing direct relationships with their stakeholders to drive profitability for Sony as influenced by overall company goals. You will share P&L accountability within the category(s) of Business Managers and be involved in influencing and executing company strategies and objectives. Collaborate closely with the sell-thru team to gain insight and provide constructive feedback to maximize sales and market share gains in key segments. Manage and communicate all elements of key business processes such as inventory management, MDF investment, and forecasting to all forms of pricing, sales, and profit administration to key stakeholders. Structured, daily tasks with precise attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are vital to support the accuracy and improvement of the P&L. Proactive fact-finding to initiate new business opportunities and implement cost-saving strategies will be expected.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree Must have 5 - 7 years of related experience. In place of a degree must have 8 - 10 years of related experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of consumer digital imaging products, including Sony product line

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular, strong Microsoft Excel skills are necessary

  • Ability to travel as the job requires, approximately 30%

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Sales HQ functions, infrastructure, and sales processes preferred

  • A clear understanding of the local market insights, current market conditions, and key indicators for future trends

  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, retail channels, and competitors

  • Administrative lead for sales analysis, MDF budget management and forecasting, and inventory management support

  • Frequent presentation of complex data and business recommendations both internally and externally at the management level

  • Must understand issues with the account and take the lead in finding suitable resolutions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and trusted relationship-building characteristics

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $84,400 to $140,700. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
