Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking an energetic an Educational Sign Language Interpreter to provide support for
a middle school student starting as soon as possible. This individual will be responsible for interpreting class content,
voicing for the student, and facilitating communication with hearing peers and school personnel. Other duties include
tutoring, participation in meetings, and being an active member of the student’s educational team. This position will begin

A starting salary of $47,394 is offered, with additional compensation for candidates with years of teaching/interpreting
experience in public education and additional education beyond a bachelor’s degree.
Qualifications:
The School District of Milton is seeking a highly qualified individual with strong American Sign Language (ASL) skills
who will work collaboratively with general and special education staff. Candidates should be organized and flexible, as
well as demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. The optimal candidate will have a strong desire to
support student development, growth and achievement in all areas. Additional expectations may include student support at
school activities outside of the standard school day.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Educational Interpreter – 884. Additional information
